2 key road projects launched in West Amman

Ammon News - Amman Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh on Saturday inaugurated two key infrastructure projects as part of the rapid transit bus (RTB) project and to raise road efficiency and ease traffic congestions in the capital.

The mayor said that the projects on Sharif Nasser Bin Jameel and Al-Kindi Streets, which include the construction of a 1,040-metre-long tunnel and a 360-metre-long, two-lane bridge, are one of the major phases of the RTB infrastructure.

Construction work got underway near urban development and commercial centres, he said, adding that the projects include road expansions, sidewalks, lighting and rainwater drainage networks.
