King receives phone call from Palestinian president – Roya News English

His Majesty King Abdullah II received a phone call from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas today, Tuesday.

The call addressed the dire developments in Gaza, with His Majesty stressing the necessity for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, the protection of civilians, and ensuring the sufficient and sustainable delivery of aid.

President Abbas praised Jordan, led by His Majesty the King, for standing by the Palestinian people and supporting them in obtaining their legitimate rights. He commended Jordan's steadfast positions and tireless efforts to halt the war on Gaza, reject the displacement of Palestinians, and safeguard and protect the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem through the Hashemite custodianship.
