Hamieh discusses local development, road maintenance with MP Samad

NNA ndash; Caretaker Minister of Public Works and Transportation in on Thursday welcomed MP Jihad Samad, with whom he reviewed the general situation in Lebanon and the region, focusing on regional development issues relevant to the ministry, especially those related to road maintenance and measures taken to address collapses, particularly in the Zgharta District.

Hamieh emphasized that quot;maintenance work on highways and roads within the jurisdiction of the ministry is a priority,quot; noting that quot;the priority criterion for the condition of these roads will be the basis for completing the work on them in all Lebanese regions, including in the Miniyeh-Danniyeh District.quot;

Hmieh added that quot;in the context of the ministry#39;s keenness on road safety, directives had been given in the previous period to all concerned parties in the ministry to expedite all necessary administrative procedures to start the maintenance work on them, which will commence next Saturday.quot;
