Ministry distributes 32 housing units in Muscat’s Amerat Wilayat

A total of 32 housing units were distributed in Al Mahj area in the Wilayat of Al Amerat to families eligible for the housing assistance program in Muscat Governorate.

Eng. Hamad bin Ali Al Nazwani, Undersecretary for housing at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning.Distribution of these housing units comes within the framework of the social housing program implemented by the Ministry for citizens eligible for support in various governorates. During the current year, the Ministry plans to provide housing assistance to 1,200 beneficiaries in various governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.

The social housing system consists of several diverse and integrated programs to arrange land uses and provide appropriate housing for deserving and affected groups, based on priorities. Housing support aims to improve the standard of living of targeted families and help them achieve social stability by providing appropriate housing.Towards this end, the Ministry is working with other government agencies and supporters from the private sector and charities.
