Drake & Scull unit to oversee Saudi’s $210m water project

Passavant Energy and Environment Limited, specialising in wastewater and water treatment technologies, was awarded the project in collaboration with a major contracting company in the kingdom. The name of the partner was not disclosed.

The total contract value of the project, located in Al-Khobar, is SAR789 million ($210 million), while the sub-contract value of the Passavant is $48 million. 

The project includes building a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 200,000 cubic metres per day. The plant will incorporate technology to convert waste into energy as part of the country’s sustainable resource management.

The Drake & Scull unit will supervise engineering, procurement, equipment supply, plant installation, and commissioning.
