Saudi Arabia remains Jordan’s largest investor with investments worth $14 billion through 900 projects – Arabian Business

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has revealed that it remains the largest investor in Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with the volume of Saudi investments in Jordan rising to $14 billion, through about 900 projects, according to an economic report released by the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce.

The report indicated that Saudi investment in the Amman Stock Exchange ranks first among Arab and foreign investments in public shareholding companies listed on the Amman Stock Exchange, with a value of $1.4 billion, while Jordanian investments in Saudi Arabia amounted to $608 million.

Saudi investments are concentrated in the sectors of tourism, finance, trade, health care, infrastructure, education, logistics, transportation, energy, communications and information technology.

The trade volumes between the two kingdoms rose to $4.42 billion in 2021, the report stated, adding that the volume of Saudi exports to Jordan rose to $3 billion (SAR 11.6 billion) in 2021, while Jordanian imports to the Saudi market amounted to $1.33 billion (SAR 5 billion).

The economic report was issued ahead of the Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Zayed’s visit to Jordan.
