ALEC tops out One Za’abeel’s 235m Tower B at Ithra Dubai’s luxury project – MEP MiddleEast

Dubai-based award-winning multidisciplinary construction firm ALEC Engineering and Contracting LLC (ALEC) has completed topping out One Za'abeel's Tower B, one of two towers that form part of Ithra Dubai's iconic luxury development.

Centrally located adjacent to the Dubai World Trade Centre, One Za'abeel is comprised of three key components, including Towers A & B and ‘The Link', one of the longest cantilevered structures in the world, which bridges the towers at a height of 100m.

The mixed-use development by Ithra Dubai consists of two skyscrapers: Tower A that is 300m tall and Tower B, which stands at 235m, rising from seven levels of basement, three levels of podium for retail and restaurants, and 77 high-speed lifts, with more than 470,000m2 of total built-up area.

Tower B includes seven basement levels, ground floor, three podiums, 57-storeys, multiple amenities, as well as ultra-luxury simplex and duplex residential units.

The Link is a 226m-long construction made from a composite material of steel and concrete – which is perpendicular to the One Za'abeel twin towers – and its 66m cantilever is anchored at only one point while the rest floats above The Happiness Bridge offering views of The Burj Khalifa, The Museum of the Future, and the Downtown
