UAE President Sheikh Khalifa passes away at 73 – Construction Week Online
The Ministry of Presidential Affairs has mourned to the people of the UAE, Arab and Islamic nations, and the world the death of president His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The late president passed away at the age of 73 on Friday, 13 May 2022, reported WAM.
The UAE will observe a forty-day state mourning with the flag flown at half-mast starting today, the ministry announced, adding that work will be suspended at all ministries, departments, and federal, local, and private entities for three days, starting Saturday, 14 May, with work set to resume on Tuesday, 17 May.
