(WAM) “” The Emirate of Sharjah recorded up to 28,710 real estate transactions, worth AED6.2 billion, in the first half of 2020; a rise of 4.1 percent as compared to the transactions recorded over the same period last year.

The sales transactions recorded in the first six months of the year covered 15.3 million square feet, as per the latest report of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, SRERD, published on Wednesday.

Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director General of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, said this proves that the real estate sector in Sharjah is founded on strong bases thanks to the directives of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council.

Al Shamsi appreciated the stimulus packages and decisions recently approved by the Government of Sharjah in support of government and private institutions, business sectors and individuals.
