Sheikh Mohammed establishes new committee to ease issuing building permits in Dubai

The interim committee will automate the building permits process and provide services to the public through smart applications

A temporary committee will be formed in Dubai to simply and ease the process of issuing building permits within the emirate, it was announced on Thursday.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai issued Decision No. (5) of 2020 partially amending Decision No. (3) of 2017 to create the committee known as 'Dubai's Committee for Building Permit Procedures Development'.

The committee will list, analyse, revise and develop procedures for providing services related to the issuance of building permits.

It will also unify the requirements and conditions for applying for building permits, reduce service timeframes, enhance the quality of services, and ease procedures by establishing a single window for the entire service.

Additionally, it will automate the building permits process and provide services to the public through smart applications.
