Dubai closes restaurant, fines gym for not adhering to Covid guidelines

A restaurant in Dubai was closed down after it was found to have violated the Covid-19 guidelines in the emirate.

The restaurant in Satwa was ordered closed on Thursday after its distribution of free meals led to passers-by gathering in front of the store, disregarding physical distancing guidelines and causing congestion, the Commercial Compliance and Consumer Protection (CCCP) sector in Dubai Economy stated.

In another incident, Dubai Economy in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council, imposed a fine on a fitness centre for not adhering to physical distancing, especially at their reception, and employees' lack of commitment to wearing masks.
