Dubai’s Dragon Mart launches e-commerce platform

The Dragon Mart shopping mall located in Dubai's International City neighbourhood has announced the launch of a new e-commerce platform dragonmart.ae.

It is being touted as the region's first platform dedicated to a single shopping mall with an onsite fulfilment centre.

Dragonmart.ae brings Dubai's largest B2B and B2C wholesale marketplace online and is the result of a partnership between Nakheel Malls, the retail arm of master developer Nakheel, and logistics provider DP World, reported news agency WAM.

The e-commerce platform will connect Dragon Mart retailers to customers both within the UAE and outside of it too.

The move to introduce the online platform is expected to particularly benefit SMEs. Over 30 per cent of items purchased from Dragon Mart are directly linked to small and medium enterprises.

The online e-commerce
