BTECH discuss the role of Tech Start-ups in boosting national economy

Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) organized a gathering to hold a panel discussion entitled: “Tech Start-ups: Driving the National Economy”. The panel was held in the presence and the patronage and of His Excellency Eng. Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, in addition to several leaders and stakeholders of the telecommunications and tech sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This panel discussion was organized on the sidelines of BTECH’s annual Ramadan Ghabga. Mr. Amjad Eid Swais, president of StartupsJo Council, delivered a keynote presentation regarding the role of Jordanian start-ups in national development. Then, the panel discussion started moderated by Mr.Mirza Asrar Baig, Founder & CEO of EDX labs and with the participation of panelists Dr. Jarmo Kotilaine, Tamkeen’s Advisor, Mr. Yasin Aboudaoud, Chief Development Officer & MP of Brinc, and Mr. Saleh Abbas, Managing Director of Flat 6 Labs The Chairman of the Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) Mr. Ubaydli Ubaydli affirmed the influential role of tech start-ups in stimulating the national plan for the transition to digital transformation, strengthening the infrastructure for this sector, in addition to localizing modern technologies.
