KUWAIT CITY, May 5: The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) has succeeded in attracting 1.650 million citizens and residents to use the “Kuwait Mobile ID” app, which is a positive step towards digital transformation to conduct transactions and achieve the goal of shifting to e-government, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to sources from PACI, they consider the success of the program in registering such high number of citizens and residents in the “Kuwait Mobile ID” app to be in line with the implementation of the Cabinet’s decision to oblige government agencies to approve its use when conducting all types of transactions, without the need for the original civil ID. This saved effort and time, and ensured safety in conducting transactions by automatically linking those agencies with PACI.
