Stretching over a 2km expanse, the project is poised to transform the region into a vibrant hub for residents and visitors alike.

While highlighting the project’s strategic significance, Masoud bin Saeed al Hashmi, Governor of South Batinah, emphasised its potential to rejuvenate social and cultural life and bolstering the region’s appeal to both locals and tourists. “The Al Uwaid waterfront development is a testament to our commitment to building sustainable and integrated urban spaces. It represents a fusion of modern ideas designed to cater to community members across all age groups,” Hashmi stated.

The project will feature a diverse array of facilities, including restaurants, retail outlets, children’s play areas, both open and enclosed fitness spaces, beach activities and restrooms. The project plan includes pedestrian pathways, cycling tracks, and areas dedicated to leisure and entertainment.

Construction will commence with the development of 3m wide paths, incorporating rental and sales points for bicycles, children’s playgrounds, outdoor gyms and pedestrian walkways. Strategically located
