Oman Insurance fully acquires Dubai Starr Sigorta
Dubai - Mubasher: Oman Insurance Company has fully acquired Dubai Starr Sigorta A.S after buying an additional 49% of the issued and outstanding share capital, according to the company's disclosure to Dubai Financial Market (DFM) on Wednesday.
In 2012, the company acquired a 51% stake in Dubai Starr Sigorta, an Istanbul-based auto agency with operations in Ankara, Izmir, and Bursa.
The Turkey-based company is an insurance solution provider for the local market namely in construction and liability sectors.
The acquisition will help Oman Insurance to expand and explore more opportunities in European markets along with its strong presence in the UAE and Oman.
