(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: The Ministry of Interior (MOI) and the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), inaugurated the project of electronic connection, and exchange of traffic accident data that result in damages to state property automatically, as well as cancellation of all paper procedures between the two parties in this regard. This project allows the Directorate of Traffic to complete all procedures for traffic accidents that result in damage to state property, within one day, in addition to issuing a vehicle repair report for the person responsible for the accident, after sending the traffic data of the accident electronically to Ashghal - to take action regarding the person responsible for the damage. Director of Traffic Patrolling and Investigation Department of the General Directorate of Traffic at the Ministry of Interior Brigadier Abdulaziz bin Jassim Al-Thani affirmed that this project comes within the framework of joint efforts between the General Directorate of Traffic and Public Works Authority, with the aim of connecting electronically between them and facilitating services for the clients, as the nature of the work of the two parties requires exchange of data - in order to achieve accuracy, speed of completion, and raise the level of procedures and services
