‎Saudi Arabia ranks second among G20, fourth globally in readiness of digital regulations

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) announced that Saudi Arabia took the second position among the G20 countries and fourth globally in the readiness of digital regulations.

This ranking came after the Kingdom's success in building a sustainable regulatory framework and shifting towards digital cooperative regulations to enable the digital economy.

Mohammed Altamimi, Governor of the Communications, Space & Technology Commission (CST), said the commission, with its regulatory role, launched several initiatives to develop the regulations of the information and communications technology sector in order to reach the highest levels of regulatory maturity globally.

He pointed out that the CST enhanced the Kingdom's global competitiveness through its focus on collaborative regulations and stakeholder engagement, as well as its reliance on regulatory innovation and leadership globally. In addition, the Kingdom achieved innovative excellence in spectrum management.
