Abu Dhabi start-up partners with Etihad Airways to develop an inflight smart tray to reduce food waste

Abu Dhabi-based start-up The Concept is partnering with Etihad Airways to develop an in-flight smart tray that helps to monitor consumption of food by passengers to reduce wastage.

The company, which is part of tech accelerator Hub71 at Abu Dhabi Global Market, has developed a smart tray known as Neos Fly+ that will help Etihad to analyse food consumption patterns to devise methods to reduce the amount of food wasted on board.
