UAE: Digital freelancers increased by nearly 200%

The UAE saw a 197% increase in the recruitment digital freelancers in 2020, according to the World Economic Forum.Freelancers contributed to preparing and boosting digital content including blogs, podcasts, and videos, which demands for had increased due to the Covid-19 pandemic.The Dubai Government's decision last year to support professionals in the digital sector who wish to work remotely also “contributed considerably” to this.LinkedIn reported that ‘digital content freelancers' were among the top hired last year.
