DFM sees downward performance on Tuesday

Dubai - Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) decreased by 1.26% or 28 points to settle at 2,180.81 points by the end of Tuesday's trading session.





A total of 137.02 million shares were traded through 2,389 transactions valued at AED 174.22 million.





The market cap value reached AED 307.898 billion.





The banks sector headed the decliners with 2.02%, followed by the real estate segment with 0.58%.





Al Madina for Finance and Investment led the losing stocks with 3.52%, while Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) came on top of the rising stocks with 4.11%.





Ithmaar Holding posted the highest trading volume of 28.59 million shares, while Emirates NBD recorded the highest turnover of AED 44.25 million.
