Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) will inaugurate two outsourcing data centres in the first quarter (Q1) of 2021 to support UAE government and financial organisations.

The two centres will be established in the Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) and the Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD) to offer high-performance connectivity and computing power, according to a press release on Sunday.

The data centres will enable UAE government and financial entities to benefit from reliable connections to multiple clouds, including Hyperscalers, across the region and other services such as business networks.

The Chief New Business and Innovation Officer of du, Farid Faraidooni, said: "Partnerships with data center service providers that have interconnectivity fabrics and broad ecosystems of enterprises and service, network, and cloud providers will become essential in the new digital era."

Faraidooni added: "As a trusted managed services operator, our digital infrastructure provides agile, resilient, secure, and scalable solutions through hybrid and multi-cloud, compete managed services, in-country data center services, and software-defined enterprise networks."
