Updates on traveling procedures for arrivals into Bahrain via King Fahd Causeway

COVID-19 developments and precautionary measures aimed at mitigating the spread of the virus continue to be discussed at the periodical meetings held by the National Medical Task Force to Combat COVID-19, headed by the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, HE Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. The National Medical Taskforce emphasised the importance of continuing to adhere to all precautionary measures in order to ensure the safety of all. The Taskforce noted that social responsibility and a commitment to following all health measures will contribute to supporting national efforts to mitigate the spread of the virus. Based on a review of COVID-19 statistics and data, and procedures related to travellers entering the Kingdom of Bahrain via the King Fahd Causeway, a recommendation was raised by the Taskforce and approved by the Government Executive Committee requiring travellers entering through the causeway to conduct a PCR test up to 72 hours before arrival into the Kingdom of Bahrain, starting Sunday, 17 January 2021.
