Cairo International Airport obtains AHA certificate, added to safe travel list

Cairo International Airport has obtained the Airport International Health Accreditation (AHA) certificate, ensuring its place on the list of safe travel spots, Egypt's Media Center of the Cabinet announced through a video. The certification is received by only environmentally compatible airports once they have taken all the precautionary measures stipulated locally and internationally against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. It recognises the effectiveness of the precautionary measures that have been applied at Egyptian airports to combat the spread of virus. The certification also recognises the extent of Egypt's commitment to applying the best health and safety standards, which sends a message of reassurance to travellers worldwide. It also reassures airlines that Cairo International Airport, and Egyptian airports in general, are safe and ready to receive air traffic in line with international standards. The video reviewed the most prominent efforts made in terms of health and safety precautions at airports. It explained the application and follow-up of all precautionary and health measures adopted at Cairo International Airport since the resumption of flights in July 2020, with great care for the safety of travellers.
