CAIRO – 14 January 2021: The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has started the restoration and maintenance of the archaeological Mohammad Ali Bridge in El-Qanater City, Qalyubia Governorate, in coordination with the Ministry of Irrigation and the City Council.

 

Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, Mustafa Waziri, explained that the Permanent Committee for Islamic Antiquities had agreed that the production unit of the council's projects sector will implement the maintenance works of the bridge under the supervision of El-Qanater Antiquities Zone, at a cost of L.E. 1.6 million , according to the business index approved by the permanent committee.
