Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities takes measures to close down 9 touristic establishments violating hygiene safety regulations



 





 





 





CAIRO - 1 May 2021: Within the framework of the supervisory role of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and its continuous monitoring  of hotels and touristic establishments, including restaurants and cafeterias.





 





To make sure they implement the precautionary measures set by the Egyptian Cabinet and the Ministry, the Ministry’s department for supervision on hotels and touristic establishments and activities dispatched secret committees to  





inspect a number of establishments.





 





Mr. Abdel Fattah Al-Assi, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for the supervision of Hotel Establishments and Touristic Activities, said  that these committees found 9 establishments violating the set hygiene Safety measures and operating regulations.  





 





This included operating with capacities exceeding the set ones, in addition to providing Shousha (hookah), which is harmful to the health and safety of customers, especially in light of the Coronavirus pandemic.





 





 





He added that this affects Egypt's tourism reputation.





 





He explained that according to the laws regulating touristic establishments, the Ministry will issue decrees to close them down.





 





He added that these committees will continue to inspect establishments on a continuous basis, even during the holidays  and the Ministry take all the necessary legal
