Air Arabia to resume direct flights to Sarajevo from Sharjah

Low-cost carrier Air Arabia is resuming flights between the UAE and Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.The direct flights from Sharjah will restart from May 7, 2021 and will be operated three times weekly, or every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, via Airbus A320.The budget carrier said their passengers will also benefit from free COVID-19 insurance coverage.Airlines in the region and around the world are still reeling from the effects of the pandemic, which has caused air traffic to plummet.Passenger demand is expected to pick up this year, as more countries reopen their borders and ease restrictions.The airline reported a net profit of 20 million dirhams ($5.4 million) for the fourth quarter of 2020, 90 percent down on the same period in 2019.(Writing by Cleofe Maceda; editing by Seban Scaria)[email protected]: This article is provided for informational purposes only.
