PCR must before travelling to US: Oman embassy

Muscat: Oman Embassy in Washington has informed the necessity of obtaining a PCR examination prior to travelling to US. In a statement, the embassy said: "We would like to draw the attention of those wishing to travel from the Sultanate to the United States of America; the necessity to present a PCR test certificate for Coronavirus Covid-19 with a negative result, three days before the date of travel, as of January 26, according to a statement issued by the competent US authorities.”“The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is expanding the requirement for a negative COVID-19 test to all air passengers entering the United States.  Testing before and after travel is a critical layer to slow the introduction and spread of COVID-19. This strategy is consistent with the current phase of the pandemic and more efficiently protects the health of Americans,” the statement added.
