Two cruise ships with over 5000 tourists dock at Doha Port – The Peninsula

Doha: The Doha Port today received two cruise ships, the MSC World Europa and the Le Bougainville, which came carrying over 5,000 tourists and 2,185 crew members.

Mwani Qatar stated this on its social media adding that an additional 1,000 new tourists will also join the other tourists and the crew who will board the MSC Europa from Doha headed to a number of ports along the Arabian Gulf.

This is the fifth call for both ships in the 2022-23 cruise season, which is due to last until April of this year.

MSC World Europa, owned by MSC Cruises, a company based in Switzerland, will be flying the Maltese flag along its journey while Le Bougainville, part of the Marseille-based French cruise line Ponant, will be flying the French flag.

MSC World Europa, 333 meters long, is capable of accommodating over 6,700 passengers while Le Bougainville, which can accommodate 294 passengers with the crew, is 131 meters long.

In terms of environmental sustainability, both ships are equipped with innovative, eco-friendly equipment, making them among the most advanced ships in that regard.
