New support measures announced to help Saudi Arabia’s tourism ‘renaissance’: Cabinet
Crisis management measures and financial guarantees will be part of a new tourism law unveiled by the Saudi Cabinet to boost a “renaissance” in the sector.
The incoming regulatory system, which will help tourism’s development in line with Saudi Vision 2030’s objectives, addresses the development of the regulatory and legislative environment of the sector.

Tourism spending in Saudi Arabia skyrocketed last year, hitting $7.2 billion in the first half 2022, according to figures released by the Kingdom’s Ministry of Investment. The Kingdom’s burgeoning tourism sector will represent a key focus at Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2023.
Minister of Tourism:
It is expected that Saudi Arabia will rank 17 in attracting tourists in the world, and the Kingdom will target 25 million tourists from abroad this year.
