Emirates is planning to recover 70 per cent of its capacity by the winter season as the airline bets on the Dubai Expo and the UAE’s fast-paced vaccination campaign to attract transit and point-to-point traffic, its chief commercial officer said.

The Dubai-based airline is ramping up capacity as it restores 85 per cent of its global network, or 120 passenger destinations, using 151 Boeing 777 aircraft, Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ chief operating officer said on Tuesday.

Mr Kazim was speaking at a press conference ahead of the four-day Arabian Travel Market event that will take place at Dubai World Trade Centre from May 16.
