Dubai says all entertainment activities must end by 1am

All entertainment activities in Dubai will have to conclude by 1am as part of precautionary measures to curb the spread of Covid-19, officials have announced.

The news was announced via a circular that was issued by Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) to all hotel establishments, venues, events, conferences, organisers and retailers in the emirate.

Under the new regulations, hotels will also have to suspend the provision of food and beverage services after 3am, with the exception of delivery and room services.

The measures took effect from Thursday, September 24, and come after the UAE has reported a rising number of coronavirus cases in the country.
