TDT | Manama The Daily Tribune – Transportation and Telecommunications Minister and Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) Chairman Kamal bin Ahmed Mohamed paid an inspection visit to Bahrain International Airport to follow up on the progress of construction at the new Passenger Terminal. The second phase, which is proceeding on schedule, is taking place in the eastern part of the airport. The site has been cordoned off to maintain the highest levels of safety and security. The Minister, BAC officials and representatives of the project’s main contractor, Arabtec TAV, were briefed on the latest developments, including demolition works and the removal of all internal equipment and installations, floors, ceilings, non-bearing partition walls, mechanical and electrical systems, and air conditioning systems.
