Alexandria Port collects $432mln customs, taxes in September

Cairo – The Egyptian Customs Authority collected EGP 6.876 billion in customs duties, taxes, and charges from Alexandria port during September. In addition, the value-added taxes (VAT) imposed on these goods amounted to EGP 3.863 billion during the month, while other charges reached EGP 1.319 billion. The imported goods included strategic goods, production inputs, and general cargo such as yarn, textiles, electric appliances, receivers, plastics, and petroleum products.
