Driver stuck in car wreckage rescued – GulfToday – Gulf Today

A rescue team helps the injured man into the ambulance.

A car collision took place on Monday on Khor Fakkan-Al Lu'lu'ieh road in which a driver got stuck in the car wreckage.

The incident came to light when the operations room at the Eastern Region's Civil Defence Directorate received a report on the matter.

The driver was rescued by a fire and rescue squad headed by Captain Ali Al Dhanhani, Head of Stations Section, and Lieutenant Juma Hamdan from Khor Fakkan Police Station.

They rushed to the scene of the collision and helped the driver without causing him any further harm.

The driver was then given first aid treatment before he was taken to the Khor Fakkan Hospital for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, Colonel Sami Khamis Al Naqbi, Director General of Sharjah Civil Defence, has called on all road users to avoid gathering in areas of accidents in order to not hamper the arrival of rescue teams.

He has also called on drivers to adhere to the speed limits on roads and abide by traffic laws.
