September 14, 2020 | 12:15 PM by ONA Muscat: In implementation of the Royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, the Sultanate on Monday operated relief flights to Sudan, which has experienced insurmountable rainwater flooding. The relief was airlifted onboard Royal Air Force of Oman military aircraft, which took off towards their destination in succession on Monday morning from Al-Musanaa Airbase. The freight included objects of basic human requirements and a variety of other relief materials collected in coordination with Omani Charitable Organisation. The operation of such flights comes within the context of humanitarian assistance that the Sultanate of Oman extends to friendly states during emergencies and exceptional conditions. ...read more...
