The ban has prevented trans-Atlantic flights because Philadelphia International is not among the 15 “funneling airports” where the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention can screen international passengers for covid-19. “It is my understanding that this would all but solve any issues at PHL,” said a congressional aide who asked not to be named.
