SEZAD announces completion of fishing port at Duqm | Times of Oman

Muscat: The Special Economic Zone at Duqm has announced the completion of a multi-purpose fishing port by the main contractor and the handing over process to the consortium led by the companies of the Omani Investment Authority. "The consortium also includes the French port company Lorient alongwith companies of the Omani Investment Authority, represented by the Oman Fisheries Development Company and the Oman Food Investment Holding Company," Oman News Agency, (ONA), said in a statement. Engineer Yahya bin Khamis Al Zadjali, in charge of work at the Special Economic Zone at Duqm, says that the port is the largest fishing port in the Sultanate and has additional yards that can be used for tourism purposes and containers related to food activities, and it can attract wooden ships loaded with foodstuffs.
