Ministry of Transport completes Jadeedah Arar port road network coinciding with its opening

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - The Ministry of Transport carried out maintenance work on the road leading to Jadeedah Arar port, coinciding with its opening on November 17 under the patronage of the Governor of the Northern Borders Region, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan.The opening of the port was part of a package of joint agreements between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Iraq. The agreements aim at creating investment opportunities across all sectors and securing all roads to and from the port, the foundation of which was laid by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.Deputy Minister of Transport Eng. Badr Abdullah Al-Dulami said the developed logistics area at the port would serve as a gate for the northern part of the Kingdom to promote the economy by attracting investors and help strengthen the Saudi-Iraqi economic relations. He thanked Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz for his care and support, which resulted in the completion of many development projects nationwide.Jadeedah Arar is the only port between the two countries. The Ministry of Transport implemented many roadwork projects, including the installation of 150 warning and regulatory signs, 1,990 meters of
