DFM ends Sunday down; ADX up

The UAE stock markets have closed Sunday's trading session on a varied note. The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went down 0.11% to settle at 2,820.7 points by the end of Sunday. A total of 91.58 million shares were traded through 1,769 transactions valued at AED 156.63 million. Dubai National Insurance and Reinsurance (DNIR) led the rising stocks with 6.8%, while Damac Properties came on top of the losing stocks with 8.57%. As for the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), the main index inched up 0.26% to close Sunday's session at 6,623.41 points. Turnover amounted to AED 1.26 billion after 125.33 million shares had been traded through 2,168 transactions. Ras Al Khaimah Cement Investment Company headed the green zone with 14.43%, while Sharjah Cement and Industrial Development Co topped the red zone with 2.44%.
