Sharjah Chamber and Syrian Delegation pledge to enhance trade relations

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) recently received a Syrian delegation to discuss enhancing economic relations and trade exchange.

The Syrian delegation was led by Mr. Kinan Zahreddine, the Syrian Consul-General in Dubai. Mr. Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the SCCI received the delegation in the presence of Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, the Director-General of SCCI, Mr. Abdulaziz Shattaf, Assistant Director-General of the Communications and Business Sector and several other SCCI officials.

The meeting reviewed potential investment opportunities to support economic cooperation and enhance the partnership between businessmen from both nations.

On the occasion, Mr. Abdullah Al Owais stated that the meeting will help to establish investment partnerships between private sector institutions and companies in both countries.

Mr. Al Owais stressed the need to increase efforts to raise the volume of trade exchanges, especially in urban development, tourism, industry, agriculture, and other sectors, taking advantage of the opportunities available through investments and the establishment of projects.
