President signs decree forming “National Council for Price Policies”, follows up on local developments

NNA - President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, signed Decree 9334 of May 27, 2022.

The decree stipulates forming the National Council for Price Policy “in the Ministry of Economy and Trade, which constitutes the following:

Minister of Economy and Trade, Director General, Director General of Central Statistics, Director General of the Ministry of Economy and Trade, Director General of the Ministry of Trade, Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Director General of the Ministry of Tourism, Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Director General of the Ministry of Tourism, Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Director General  Ministry of Commerce, Director of Economy and Economic Research in the Bank), President of the Association of Lebanese Industrialists, President of the Association of Banks in Lebanon, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Business, and, and three representatives of the General Labor Union: Dr. Bechara Al-Asmar (President of the General Labor Union), Mr. Hassan Fakih  (Vice-Chairman), and Mr. Saad Eddin Hamidi Saqr (Secretary General).

It is noteworthy that the "National Council for Price Policy" is a national council with distinction that includes all accredited and subscribers of the European Union.

This policy and general and technical practices operate, according to what
