Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries issues new decision on Omanisation – Times of Oman

Muscat: Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries has issued a decision which requires the people in the profession of driving vehicles which transport agricultural products and animals inside the Sultanate to be a citizen of the country.A statement issued online by The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries said, "The Ministry in coordination with the Ministry of Manpower, has confirmed the decision which prohibits non-Omani drivers from transporting agricultural products such as vegetables, fruits, dates, feed, dry leaves palm and as well as animals inside the Sultanate.". " coordination has been made with the Royal Oman Police (ROP) to not allow any non-Omani driver to transport agricultural products and animals of various tonnage.".
