The Indo-Gulf Middle East Chamber of Commerce (Oman Chapter) recently partnered with The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry's (OCCI) Foreign Investment Committee to organize a significant seminar at the Muscat Hall of OCCI in Ruwi.

Sheikh Faisal Al Rawas, Chairman of OCCI, congregated industry experts, government officials, and business magnates to deliberate on the challenges and prospects within Oman’s Fisheries Sector.Key discussions highlighted the pressing need for value addition in the sector, stressing that current contributions remain below 15%, which could be magnified to over 70 or even 80%. To achieve this, the emphasis is on technological advancements, skill development, and forging collaborations with international industry leaders.
