Muscat : The amount of food preservation that the Oman Food Bank dealt with until the end of November 2023 amounted to 33. 2 tonnes of cooked food to be distributed to the beneficiaries in an effective manner. The Oman Food Bank continues its efforts in the field of charitable work by preserving food and distributing it to those who deserve it in an effective manner, within the framework of achieving the concept of social solidarity and giving in society. Engineer Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al Hosani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Food Bank, said : "The bank was established in 2021 with the aim of spreading the culture of preserving grace among members of society, providing food aid to beneficiaries, and contributing to achieving food security. The bank is a non-profit commercial company registered with the Ministry of Commerce , Industry and Investment Promotion." The amount of food preservation that the Oman Food Bank dealt with until the end of last November amounted to 33. 2 tonnes of cooked food. While the amount of vegetables and fruits reached 51. 16 tons, and the number of food baskets distributed to families reached more than 5 thousand food
