Oman’s FSQC issues clarification on juice product amidst social media concerns

With reference to a post circulating on social media, the Food Safety and Quality Center (FSQC) has affirmed that all food imports undergo stringent control measures upon crossing border.

The post Oman’s FSQC issues clarification on juice product amidst social media concerns appeared first on The Arabian Stories News.MUSCAT : In a clarification issued online, the FSQC categorically stated that all food imports are subject to control at border crossings, and are released only after confirming compliance with standard specifications.“These imports are followed up after release through the food risk assessment and monitoring system. By surveying the markets, in coordination with the regulatory authorities, however, spoilage may occur for some products due to poor transportation and storage in a specific location, and this does not necessarily mean spoilage of the product on all other sites. The Center calls on all institutions and companies operating in the food sector to adhere to transportation and storage requirements,” the FSQC stated.
