Tender floated to allocate parking lots for food trucks

Muscat: The Muscat Municipality has issued a tender to allocate parking place for food trucks as part of its ambitious vision of ‘a sustainable, prosperous, vibrant Muscat’ by providing all the basic capabilities related to protecting public health, environment, and cultural face of the governorate.

Muscat Municipality recently issued a tender to provide a number of food trucks characterised by the highest standards of security and safety requirements, with the aim of providing support and incentives to citizens working in these activities to improve the quality of services.

Muscat Municipality has also made efforts to allocate and prepare a number of sites to carry out street vendor activities in the various wilayats of the governorate, such as the Masar site in the Wilayat of Al Amerat and the Masar site in Wadi Al Kabir in the Wilayat of Muttrah.

The project will be put into effect in the first quarter of 2024, as these sites are distinguished by innovative and beautiful designs, and provide basic services amenities such as lighting, electricity, water and sewage connections, containers for collecting coal waste, and parking for visitors to these sites.
