9th international agri, environment exhibition from tomorrow – The Peninsula

The ninth Qatar International Agricultural and Environmental Exhibition 2022, starting tomorrow at DECC, will also feature three dedicated markets to showcase local farm produce — honey, dates and vegetables.

The five-day event — the 9th AgriteQ and 3rd EnviroteQ — will open at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) and run from 9am to 10pm except on Friday when it opens at 2pm.

Over 650 local and international companies in the field of agriculture, environment, food and animal production from about 50 countries will participate in the exhibition through their embassies and commercial offices in Doha.

“The exhibition will witness a large number of participation from local farms,” said Deputy Head of Organising Committee for the Exibition, Yousuf Khalid Al Khulaifi.

Speaking to Al Rayan TV yesterday, Al Khulaifi, who is also Director of the Agricultural Affairs Department at the Ministry of Municipality, said that over 80 local farms will showcase their agricultural produce at a dedicated market set up under the exhibition.

He said that another separate market will be for local honey with the participation of 25 apiaries. “The third market will be dedicated for local dates where 25 farms will be exhibiting different verities of dates.”
