Al Daayen Municipality conducts inspection of food outlets – The Peninsula

Doha: Al Daayen Municipality represented by the Health Monitoring Section conducted a number of inspection drives on commercial outlets during the first week of the holy month of Ramadan.

The municipal inspectors were divided into four groups to cover outlets operating across the municipality, said the Ministry of Municipality in a statement. The inspection campaigns dealt with different types of commercial activities, including restaurants, eateries for traditional foods, hotels, commercial complexes, groceries, fruits, vegetables, meat and fish outlets.

The campaigns aimed at ensuring the compliances of outlets with food specifications and health rules. During the drives, the inspectors recorded a number of violations concerning Law No. 8 of 1990 on food regulation. The Ministry of Municipality asked outlets to strictly adhere to health rules. The intensified inspection drives will continue during the holy month of Ramadan.
