Expat community conducts agricultural exhibition – The Peninsula
Doha: Expatriate agricultural group ‘Green Qatar’ in association with Centre for Indian Community (CIC) Rayyan zone conducted an agricultural exhibition last week at CIC Rayyan zonal premise in Ain Khalid.
The exhibition was held to educate and promote the organic cultivation habit among the expatriate community in Qatar.
Thousands of people enjoyed the exhibition which was titled ‘Agri Fair 2022’.
Different kinds of stalls were arranged and agricultural expert volunteers presented their experience to the public. The stalls were managed under the leadership of Ilaihi Sabeela, Hamama Shahid, Sajna Najeem and Nisha Muslih.
A Q&A session was held explaining different stages of cultivation from how to prepare soil to harvesting with detailed charts and direct explanation.
The inaugural session was chaired by event General Convenor Sajna Karuvattil, while Agricultural Expert Ankita Rai Chouksey and Social Worker P K Sauda jointly inaugurated the function.
